Zen Bhuddism is the most practiced religion in the West. It came intact in the 6th century. It is supposed to be a practice of meditation, it is also meant to rid yourself of desire so that you can achieve enlightenment.
People practice shintoism at the Jinja, also known as a shrine. A shrine has gates on the outside of it made from wood. At the shrine, people clap their hands twice to get the gods attention, then bow their heads and pray for whatever they wish for.
Shintoism is the worship of ancestors and national heroes, animals and inanimate objects. These things are just thought to embody gods and can be anything or anyone, examples consists of mountains, trees, the moon, stars, rivers, and seas.
